Connect Claude to Kiptrail
With the Kiptrail connector, you tell Claude about your race as you would a friend, and it fills in your page: creating the outing, times, aid stations, official track, polished story. You stay in control: everything arrives as a draft, to review before publishing.
The connector address
https://api.kiptrail.com/mcpIt's a “remote MCP” server: the standard Claude uses to connect to outside services.
Add it to Claude in four steps
- Open Claude's connectors. On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app: Settings, then Connectors.
- Add a custom connector. Click “Add custom connector”, name it “Kiptrail”, paste the address above, then confirm.
- Authorise access to your account. Click “Connect”: a Kiptrail page opens. Sign in if needed, then authorise Claude. Claude never sees your password.
- Chat! In a conversation, check that Kiptrail is enabled in the tools menu, then ask for what you want in plain language.
Custom connectors are available on all Claude plans, including Free (limited to one custom connector). In a Claude Team or Enterprise organisation, an account owner adds the connector for everyone; each member then clicks “Connect”.
What Claude can do for you
- List your outings and read a page in detail
- Find a race already on Kiptrail, or create a new one
- Create an outing page (always as a draft) and fill in date, time, ranking, bib
- Import the official track from the address of a GPX file published by the organiser
- Add, fix or remove waypoints: aid stations, summits, cut-offs, what you ate there
- Write or rewrite your story, preparation and thanks, from your notes
- Caption your photos and place them at the right kilometre
- Fill in the details: goal, difficulty, advice, gear, companions, video, links
Some request ideas
- “Create my page for the Grand Raid du Finistère 2026, 166 km, I finished in 28:41, 84th out of 120. Import the official track and add the aid stations.”
- “Here are my rough race notes: turn them into the story, in a sincere tone, without overdoing it.”
- “Add my split times: Ménez-Hom 4:12, Le Faou 9:30, Landévennec 14:05.”
- “Write my gear list and three tips for those running the race next year.”
Your data stays under control
- Access authorised by you alone, over a secure connection (OAuth): Claude only acts on your account.
- Pages created by Claude stay as drafts: nothing is published without you.
- Deletions are flagged to Claude as permanent: it asks for your confirmation before making them.
- You can cut access whenever you like: in your Kiptrail profile (Watches and apps, Connected apps) or in Claude's settings.
